“Fall into Winter” Raffle a Great Success
Newfound Area Nursing Association (NANA) held its “Fall into Winter” fundraiser prize drawing at the NANA office on December 22, 2008. Almost all of the 500 tickets were sold, making this a very successful fundraiser for NANA.
The raffle offered prizes to bring one from “Fall to Winter” with a smile! A cord of wood, donated by Sharp Stoneworks and Tim Flanders, was won by Betty Morrison of Bristol; the 100 gallons of #2 heating oil, donated by Dead River Company, by Claire Yeaton of Manchester; a 2-night stay at a luxury home on Newfound Lake for winter fun, donated by Nancy Hand, went to Nancy Rohlfs, Boxford, MA; a $200.00 gift certificate at R.P. Williams, donated by the Williams Family, was won by Susan Colby of Bristol; and two ski lift tickets for a day on the slopes and a $40.00 gift certificate at Ragged Mountain Bistro, donated by Ragged Mountain Resort went to Dawn Lemieux.
NANA wishes to thank all who participated in this event, the prize donors, and the following Bristol merchants who sold tickets: Renaissance Florals, 365 Lake St., Earthly Treasures, 150 Lake St.; and Blue Skies Whole Foods, 16 ˝ Pleasant St. A big "thank you" also goes to Shop 'n Save, Rte. 104, Bristol for allowing us to sell tickets at their store.
NANA has served the Newfound Area for over 48 years and during that time has assisted countless individuals and families, many of whom had insufficient health insurance coverage or no coverage at all. They have provided clients in critical need with supplies not covered by their insurance. In short, with support from the community, NANA helps your neighbors when they need it most.
