NANA Co-Sponsor of Eldercare 2009

Newfound Area Nursing Association (NANA) of Bristol, in conjunction with Speare Hospital of Plymouth and HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Concord, is co-sponsoring Eldercare 2009: Conference for Families & Older Adults. The conference, a continuing discussion for families regarding what they can do to plan ahead for the long-term care needs of aging family members, will be held Saturday, March 14 from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m., at Prospect Hall, Plymouth State University in Plymouth.   There is no cost to attend but advance registration is required by calling (603) 238-6468.

As a vendor, NANA will be providing information on their enhanced specialty program for homecare clients, featuring the HomMed telehealth system and Zoe™ fluid status monitor. Whether it’s a patient with a chronic illness, or someone trying to heal at home after surgery, HomMed telehealth helps NANA monitor our patients’ health status.  ZOE™ measurement is a quick and easy method for NANA’s nurses to determine whether individuals are experiencing fluid congestion or dehydration.

The goal of the enhanced specialty program is to improve client outcomes and quality of life.  Families with a parent or other family member using these services have peace of mind as they know that NANA is “checking in” on their loved one regularly.

Newfound Area Nursing Association, 214 Lake Street, Bristol, is a not-for-profit community-based home health care organization, serving patients of all ages in the Newfound Area since 1960. NANA’s mission is to “promote health and provide therapeutic services to individuals and families in our community”.  NANA services and programs are individualized to maximize clinical and social outcomes to enhance the quality of life throughout the communities they serve.  To learn more about NANA, plan to attend the conference this weekend or call NANA at (603) 744-2733.
